The fairy pools are extremely dangerous and should not be considered as a place to swim.

Thanks for your comment. We’d agree that all swimming holes have the potential to be very dangerous. The Fairy Pools can certainly be dangerous at certain times, e.g. high tide when a swell is running. We urge people to only swim if they are 100% confident that it is safe and they have the knowledge that allows them to make a good decision about this. On the other hand, many people do swim here safely and we have done so safely on several occasions. It is possible to have a great experience of swimming here, just as it is possible to have a great experience doing other things which might sometimes be dangerous, like swimming in the ocean, under the right conditions and with the necessary knowledge.
