Upper Belmore Falls is the name we have given this beautiful swimming hole. In between the ford above at Belmore Falls and the turning into the picnic area there is a small parking area big enough for four cars. Opposite the entrance to the parking area is a single track leading into the bush. The track is narrow and you can easily get lost. Walk down to the falls and the swimming hole is around 400 metres. You cross over a small sometimes dry creek bed and then head towards the falls by listening to the water falling. You can walk behind the falls.

Not easy to find, but the trail to the swimming hole is almost exactly where you have it marked on the map. The trail (if you can call it that) down is right next to a bent road post. The trail is reasonably difficult. It is about 100m to the swimming hole. The swimming hole is quite deep. I went in late October and the water was very cold (I’d guess about 14 degrees). Beautiful place.
